San Stefano offers wonderful old fashioned Greek hospitality to its visitors, who return there year after year.  

There is a choice of local boat hire companies in the village where boats can be rented by the day or the week; San Stephano is perfectly located to explore all the hidden coves. You can sit by the waters edge, watching the small boats moor up close by, and in the channel the large cruise ships sailing to Italy.

Fishermen still bring in their catch early in the morning, and you can swim on the far side of the bay.  Further along is the beautiful bay of Kerasia, with only one local taverna, and gift shop,  it is a snorkellers' paradise with crystal clear waters and safe bathing.  

For those looking for the "old Greece" many say this is still where it is, to sit with an ouzo watching a full moon rise over the Albanian mountains, with the sound of the cicadas is almost paradise!
