In response to a new interest in Activity holidays TWF is proud to have teamed up with the Ben and Claudia Philo of the Corfu Kitchen. In May and October we are offering a 5 day cookery course. Participants will stay in TWF accommodation in Acharavi only a 5-minute drive from Claudia and Ben’s professional kitchen and cookery school, in their converted olive press.

This course is ideal for those with a passion for food and all things Greek, and who have a desire to increase their culinary repertoire. Let Ben and Claudia teach you to take a fresh look at Greek cuisine, exploring the unique Venetian heritage of Corfu and sharing their modern, Greek-inspired menus. Cooking in a professional kitchen you will learn techniques for the preparation of fresh fish and meat, knife skills, charcoal grilling and other elements of practical organisation as well as a whole book of recipes that will inspire you to cook for your friends back home. The classes will be relaxed and informal with real hands-on cooking every day. Classes start at 09.30 and finish at 14.30. Each day's cooking will be followed by lunch where the group will enjoy the fruits of their labour accompanied by local wines. The course will also include an organised trip to the bustling fish and vegetable market in Corfu Town, a tasting of local and other Greek wines in a specialist "cava" and lunch in Ben and Claudia's favourite taverna, and a special highlight, being invited to supper "en famille" with a Greek family. . Students are free to enjoy Corfu on the other days of their holiday and there are plenty of places well worth visiting. On the last Sunday there will be an option extra farewell lunch in the mountain village of Old Perithia

The cookery course costs £520, which includes 5 days teaching, lunch each day, including wine, excursions to town and dinner with a Greek family. Course does not include any meals other than above, Farewell Sunday lunch, flights, accommodation or car hire. .

Course will commence each Tuesday in May and October, places are limited (max 6 per course) so do not delay!

Choose your accommodation in Acharavi and check availability. You will need a hire car to get to the school and to participate in the excursions included. Prices on request.

Good weather in May and October is not guaranteed. It can be beautiful but evenings are cool. Remember to bring something warm in case the sun doesn't shine.
